Evolution Elite Dance Company – Terms and Conditions
By enrolling a student at Evolution Elite JDH Dance Company, the Parent/Guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. Enrolment
Enrolment remains valid for the current dance year unless cancelled in accordance with the Studio's cancellation policy.
2. Fees and Payments
Tuition fees are payable monthly in advance and are due on or before the 1st day of each month.
Fees remain payable during school holidays and any periods during which classes continue to be offered by the Studio.
Monthly fees remain payable regardless of a student's attendance, absence, illness, travel arrangements, or any other personal circumstances.
The Studio reserves the right to suspend a student's participation in classes, performances, competitions, or events should fees remain outstanding.
All fees paid to the Studio are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed to in writing by the Studio.
3. Attendance
Students are encouraged to attend classes regularly to ensure continued progress and eligibility for performances, competitions, examinations, showcases, and other Studio activities.
4. Missed Classes
No refunds, credits, or make-up classes will be provided for missed classes due to illness, holidays, personal commitments, or any other absence unless otherwise approved by the Studio in writing.
5. Cancellation of Enrolment
A minimum of one calendar month's written notice is required should a Parent/Guardian wish to discontinue classes.
Should sufficient notice not be provided, the following month's fees shall remain payable in full.
Notice of cancellation must be submitted in writing via email or another communication method accepted by the Studio.
6. Uniform and Appearance
Students are required to wear the prescribed Studio attire and maintain an appropriate standard of grooming and presentation as communicated by the Studio.
Uniform items, costumes, and competition attire may incur additional costs.
7. Competitions, Performances, and Events
Participation in competitions, showcases, examinations, performances, workshops, and special events is voluntary and may involve additional costs, including but not limited to entry fees, costumes, travel, accommodation, and accessories.
These costs will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.
8. Medical Information and Emergency Consent
Parents/Guardians are responsible for informing the Studio of any medical conditions, allergies, injuries, disabilities, or special requirements that may affect a student's participation.
In the event of an emergency, the Parent/Guardian authorises Evolution Elite Dance Company to seek emergency medical treatment for the student where immediate contact with the Parent/Guardian cannot reasonably be established.
Any medical expenses incurred shall remain the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian.
9. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability
Participation in dance classes, rehearsals, competitions, performances, workshops, and related physical activities involves inherent risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Evolution Elite Dance Company, its owners, directors, teachers, assistants, staff members, contractors, and representatives shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, theft, or expense suffered by a student, Parent/Guardian, or visitor arising from participation in Studio activities, except where such loss or damage results from gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Parents/Guardians voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in Studio activities.
10. Personal Property
Evolution Elite Dance Company accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings brought onto Studio premises or to events, competitions, performances, or workshops.
11. Photography and Media Consent
By enrolling at the Studio, Parents/Guardians consent to photographs, videos, recordings, and other media featuring students being used by Evolution Elite Dance Company for promotional, educational, advertising, social media, website, and marketing purposes, unless written notice withdrawing consent is provided.
12. Studio Policies
Parents/Guardians and students agree to comply with all Studio rules, policies, schedules, and procedures as amended from time to time.
Evolution Elite Dance Company reserves the right to amend fees, policies, schedules, teachers, class structures, and operational procedures upon reasonable notice.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
